Today Mr. E and I are celebrating our 11th (time flies!) wedding anniversary. We will be celebrating it extremely mellowly, as Mr. E is still recovering (from Covid) this week, so he is taking lots of naps :)

He's feeling a bit better every day though, so we'll be back to our regular adventures and shenanigans soon enough.

We got to spend the day in a beautiful environment (Monschau and Neercanne) and, most importantly, in the best possible company (our closest family & friends, and each other)

By the way, I finished my tax return yesterday

(so I am feeling like an actual adult today - almost :))

Taxes (for dance) are the strangest thing.

Whenever I do my tax return for a full year in one go (2020 in this case), it makes me re-live what I experienced.

Day by day.

Week by week.

Purchase by purchase.

Cost by cost. Everything passes the (literal) revue.

From unexpected changes (cancelling events like DCP, MoveSpiration and even Movespiration in Crete) to new, tentative creations (Tipdrops - remember? - and our very first BOOST session!) to the strangest new purchases (a ring light and a Zoom subscription - who could have imagined I (we!) would ever need those for dance) to super joyous memories (so many online workshops, challenges, live sessions) and beautiful encounters (including each and every BOOSTie of that year <3)

And now it's fully gathered. Life took us in new directions in 2020.

Speaking of Directions.. What we played with this Week at BOOST:

We worked on 'all of the angles' - and how to smoothly make your way(s) from direction A to direction B (and C, D, E, F, G & H!)

Here's what the week of Sessions (BOOSTies, I am uploading the recordings as we speak!) looked like:

On Monday we worked on STRENGTH for posture, booties and ankles/feet (for smooth directions)
On Tuesday we RELAXED and opened up our hips (we also worked on balance in a super mellow way)
On Friday (today) we DANCED and experimented with moves to see which ones work really well (or not!) when you try them in (8!) different directions.
Plus, as a bonus we made mini combos (or even a full dance!) together on the spot using changes in directions and 'places of power' (our week 2 topic) combined with super simple belly dance movements, and (optionally), a prop - also on Friday.
