BOOST Tip of the Week: How to combine Shimmies, Layering and Props (without it becoming 'too much')

Slow Motion - Use your props as a frame, and/or move your arms veeerry slowly (or your body if you are layering a shimmy) This way the shimmy keeps the spotlight, and the prop (or your arms, or the movement layers) will enhance the shimmy for you.
Question & Answer - If you want to do accents with your prop, you still can! Simply go back and forth between your shimmy and your prop in that case. It can be lots of fun to play with the music in that way
Flutters - If you have a 'fluttery' prop (like wings of isis or fan veils) then you can 'boost' your shimmy by adding a fluttery movement with your props! You can also use it as a build-up. Shimmy (or prop) only, and then combine (and then go travel or add a choo choo as finale!)
