YEES. This week was FIFI Week (Fifi! Fifi! Fifi!) at our online 'Time Traveling with the Stars' BOOST Program, It's been SO MUCH FUN. Thank you dear BOOSTies!!

So.. who is Fifi, you may ask?

Well.. how to explain? Fifi is.. uhm..just Fifi.

If she were a tarot card.. she would be the Empress (of Egyptian Dance)

If she did Martial Arts.. she would be the Boss of Chuck Norris (IYKYK)

She is the Living Legend of Belly Dance.. (and it was her birthday this Thursday!)

She is the most famous and well-paid dancer, actress, teacher, and benevolent dance-activists of all times.. known for her sustained shimmies, incredibly juicy moves, bringing the white galabeya to the stage (and smoking shisha!) her flying splits (yes) her powerful saidi (BOOSTies, we'll dive into Fifi's stick moves next week!)

But also for doing.. um.. well.. 'whatever the hell Fifi wants'.

In dance and life :)

As we all should.

If you want to have a 'taste of Fifi'.. I have verrry good news for you.

After teaching this Friday's BOOST Dance class in her honor, I felt I needed to share her class with you all.

Why? Because the message of Fifi.. her strength, joy, power, authenticity, femininity.. is deeply inspiring and transformational.

And, just as important, she consciously chose to use her fame (and monies!) to fight for her independence, freedom and artistic expression - even to this day. She's had to deter oppression throughout her life.

Her message needs to be spread far and wide, especially in these times.

So, without further ado.. ENJOY the spirit of Fifi!
